“I never had any formal cooking training, yet I always felt it was a natural part of me.”

Juvy shared this when asked about her journey into the catering business. Growing up, she gained experience in serving and preparing food for others, which inspired her to start catering services.

She worked as a cook in Manila, where she learned many recipes because back then, she needed to prepare a 15-day meal plan, which needed to be a different dish each time. Upon returning to Bago, she utilized her skills in a catering business and later joined Dungganon eight years ago for financial support for a food venture.

Cooking has become Juvy’s passion, and her love for trying different foods at events, hotels, and restaurants further fueled her culinary journey. Despite facing a health crisis in 2021 resulting in the loss of her left leg, Juvy turned to cooking to overcome adversity.

Three months post-surgery, she started her own catering business, showcasing the unwavering dedication of a woman in serving others through food.

Despite the physical challenges, Juvy remains actively involved in food preparation, ensuring top-notch service for her customers. She meticulously plans and sources ingredients herself to guarantee quality, emphasizing her commitment to providing exceptional service.

Building solid relationships with customers is her recipe for success in the catering industry. Juvy believes that food, above all, should be crafted with love and positivity, infusing her dishes with a special touch that delights her customers.

Juvy extends her caring nature beyond her culinary creations, valuing her employees, clients, and supporters. Her nurturing spirit is evident in the long-standing relationships she has built, with some employees remaining by her side for two decades.

Juvy’s reputation as a skilled cook is matched by her genuine and compassionate demeanor, resembling a nurturing mother figure to those around her.
